Mike McGuirk's Volund Development Claim was first posted in February 2001. A complete set of that material is presented below.

Volund is first mentioned in Uller Uprising, as the site of weapons-smithing steel-works. In Four-Day Planet, Volund — or Völund — is identified as being between Terra and Fenris on the standard Terra-Odin trade route. Volund makes its last appearance in Fuzzies and Other People, as the first destination of Hugo Ingermann, who fled Zarathrustra for Terra on a Terra-Baldur-Marduk liner. (New Birmingham — likely named for the historical Birmingham on Terra — is identified as the capital of Volund.)
