The region surrounding the City State of the Invincible Overlord (Campaign Map 1), also known as the Roglaras, comprises the northern portion of the Pazidan Peninsula and is bordered by the mainland region of the City State of the World Emperor to the west, the Valon region to the north beyond the Uther Pentwegern Sea, the Tarantis region to the east across the Winedark Sea and the equatorial region of the Barabarian Altanis to the south on the Pazidan Peninsula.

The City State, located where the Conqueror's River empties into the Estuary of Roglaroon, is by far the largest settlement in the region, with a population of 20,000.  With a population of 9,400, the city of Warwik on the coast of the Uther Pentwegern Sea is the second largest settlement in the region.  In the Longship Havens at the mouth of the River Twilling, the market town of Ossary on the southern Winedark Sea coast is the third largest settlement in the region, with a population of 3,200.  With a population of 2,540, Sticklestead, a horse ranching town in the hills of the Gasconfold Plain, near the Mouth of Roglaroon, is the fourth largest settlement.  The Dwarven stronghold of Thunderhold in the Majestic Mountains north of the City State is the fifth largest settlement, with a population of 2,000.  The mining town of Modron, where the River Modron empties into the Estuary of Roglaroon, is the sixth largest settlement, with a population of 1,230.  After Thunderhold, the largest non-human settlement is the Elven market village of Landmarch, population 442, on the southwestern edge of Battleplain Gwalion — there are also rumours of a dragon lair in this area.

South of the City State region is the central Padizan Peninsula (Campaign Map 2), straddling the Equator and bordered on the west by the Desert Lands, beyond the central Trident Gulf, on the south by the Isles of the Blest, including the southern portion of the Padizan Peninsula, and on the west, across the Winedark Sea, by the Ebony Coast.  Much of this region is ranged by nomadic Altanis.

On the southern shore of the Romillion Sea, the market town of Antil, with a population of 1,172, is the largest settlement in the equatorial region of the Pazidan Peninsula.  The largest non-human settlement in the region is the Elven gem-crafting town of Onhir, population 456, at the end of the Old South Road in the Fogbound Forest.

There are rumours of a dragon in the Lagoldurma Jungle near the village of Halafic and where the River Ghorbund flows into the River Angor.  A dragon is also rumoured to prey upon ships from its island lair near the Cape of No-Return on the southeastern coastline of the Winedark Sea.

The market city of Tarsh, with a population of 3,560, on the River Dor, a tributary of the Ruling River which empties into the Bay of Kantaroon, is the largest settlement in the Valley of the Ancients.  The largest non-human settlement in the region is the Dwarven iron-mining town of Charmack, population 573, in the Ododharaun Mountains, near the headwaters of the Olokon River, a tributary of the River of the Ancients which empties into the Quay of the New Moon.

A dragon is rumoured to prey upon ships sailing near the Isle of Greysend in the central Winedark Sea.  A dragon is rumoured to lair in the swampland north of the River of the Ancients in the Waylay Pass, terrorizing the residents of the village of Fransk.  There are also rumours of a dragon lair on the Glow-Worm Steppes above the village of Hurickta, inland from the central Winedark Sea coastline.  Another dragon is rumoured to lair in the Aran Marshes along the River of the Ancients in the eastern Valley of the Ancients.

The city of Valon, on the northern shore of the Sea, with a polulation of 1,690, is the largest settlement in the region.  The largest non-human settlement in the region — and the second largest settlement of any type — is the Dwarvish iron-mining town of Uriah-Kazar, population 510, in the Shielding Mountains, between the Ruling River and the northeastern Uther Pentwegern Sea coast.

Dragons are rumoured to lair in the lost Dwarven city of Krazandol, believed to be located in underground caverns somewhere between the Shielding Mountains and the Dragon Wood, inland from the northeastern Uther Pentwegern Sea coast.  Dragons are also rumoured to lair on Lava-Flow Isle, among the western Isles of Pokrantil.  Another dragon is rumoured to lair on the volcanic Isle of Forthanal in the central Isles of Pokrantil.  A pair of dragons are rumoured to lair on Thrinakia Isle in the eastern Isles of Pokrantil, though it is unclear whether they terrorize or rule the settlements on the island.
